Families awaiting in-home slots
If you're on our waitlist for in-home services, telehealth lets you start now. Parent coaching during this period means the in-home program launches with a family that's already prepared.
BCBA consultation and parent coaching via secure video — for families awaiting in-home services, pursuing remote support, or needing guidance between sessions.
Telehealth ABA refers to clinical services delivered via secure video platform rather than in person. At Kindaya, telehealth is used for parent training, BCBA consultation, caregiver coaching, and interim support for families on our waitlist for in-home services.
Telehealth ABA is not a replacement for in-person therapy with a child — direct behavioral intervention with a child requires physical presence. But for the coaching, consultation, and parent education components of ABA, telehealth is a highly effective format that many families find more convenient and more accessible.
Telehealth sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a secure link before each session. Sessions typically last 60 minutes and are scheduled at your convenience. Your BCBA may ask you to set up a camera in a specific location so they can observe your child's behavior or your implementation of strategies in real time.
Between sessions, your BCBA may share materials, data collection tools, or follow-up activities. The format is flexible and designed to fit into your family's schedule without adding logistical burden.
We want to be straightforward with families about when telehealth is appropriate and when it isn't. Telehealth works exceptionally well for parent coaching, caregiver consultation, and BCBA guidance. It is not appropriate as a substitute for direct therapy hours with your child. If your child needs direct ABA intervention, we'll work to get them into an in-home program as quickly as possible.

Some families prefer the flexibility of telehealth for parent training sessions. Scheduling is easier, travel time is zero, and the practical impact of the coaching is unchanged.
If you have specific questions about your child's behavior, a new challenge has emerged, or you want expert guidance on a situation you're facing, a telehealth consultation with a BCBA provides answers quickly.
We believe in being transparent with families about the strengths and limitations of telehealth.
