Written Assessment Report
A comprehensive document describing your child's current skills, behavioral patterns, and areas of growth — written in plain language your whole team can use.
A thorough, in-home assessment is the foundation of every Kindaya treatment program. We don't guess — we observe, measure, and listen before we plan.
An ABA assessment — also called an initial skills assessment or functional behavior assessment — is a structured evaluation conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst before therapy begins. It's the process by which we learn who your child is: what they can do, what they're working toward, what motivates them, what challenges them, and how their environment influences their behavior.
Without a thorough assessment, therapy is guesswork. Kindaya doesn't do guesswork.
Our assessment covers your child's current functioning across several key areas:
We conduct the assessment in your home whenever possible, because the most accurate picture of your child's skills and behavior emerges in the environment where they actually live.
The assessment process typically unfolds in four phases. From intake to report delivery typically takes two to four weeks, depending on scheduling and insurance authorization timelines.
Step 1
Intake & Benefits
We speak with your family, gather background information, and verify your insurance coverage.
Step 2
Schedule Assessment
We schedule one or two in-home sessions with your BCBA at times convenient for your family.
Step 3
In-Home Assessment
Your BCBA observes, interacts with, and evaluates your child using standardized and naturalistic methods.
Step 4
Report & Plan
We deliver a written report and treatment plan, walk you through it, and answer every question.
After your assessment, you'll have a complete picture of your child's current skills and a clear roadmap for what comes next.
